Set Up/Edit Settings
This feature's purpose is to produce a file that can be used with an SSI include
command into any html file, for hosts that support SSI. (NOTE - most hosts require
html to be changed to shtml in order to use SSI) This area allows you to edit
your template, name the export file, decide which forum you want your news to
come from and so on (figure a).

News Manager
Do you wish to generate the news file? - If you
don't plan on using this feature, then this should be set to no to save on server
resources. If set to yes, this will generate the news file.
Which Forums do you wish to export the latest posts/topics
from? - This is where you select the forum(s) where you want the newsfile
to get it's updates from. You can select as many as you want, though all will
be saved into the same news file.
Export as: - The filename you wish the news to
be exported to.
Export how many forum topics For the news page? -
Total number of topics that will be exported in the news file. That total
is for all the forums selected together and not for each forum.
Limit News post length? (in characters) Leave blank to export
the complete news post - That is the length of the post you want to
export. If the post is 1000 characters long and you don't want to display all
that, you can enter 200 there and the first 200 characters of the post will
be exported followed by "..." to signify that there is more to the
post than what is immediately visible.
With the basic configuration done, all that remains is setting up the template, or you can leave it in it's default setting (figure b). There are a number of tags that can be added/changed/removed depending on your needs. Camil has provided the full list for us below.

<#TDESC#> - The topic description.
Set Up/Edit Headline News
This feature will only export the topic titles, date, and a few other minor
bits. It doesn't export the post, avatar, or anything of the "fancier"
bits as the main newsmanager does. It is designed to produce only a bare-bones
news ticker. Outside of its more minor functionality, it works basically the
same as the primary news manager (figure a).

News Ticker
Generate the news ticker file? - If you don't plan
on using this feature, then this should be set to no to save on server resources.
If set to yes, this will generate the news ticker file.
Which Forum do you wish to export the latest posts from?
- This is where you select the forum(s) where you want the newsfile
to get it's updates from. You can select as many as you want, though all will
be saved into the same news ticker file. Please note that if you set the generate
option to yes and do not select any forums for this question, it will be the
same as marking ALL forums, meaning it will create a ticker based upon all board
activity.
Export how many new posts in the news ticker? - This
allows you to decide the maximum number of posts to export for the news ticker.
With the basic configuration done, all that remains is setting up the template, or you can leave it in it's default setting (figure b). There are a number of tags that can be added/changed/removed depending on your needs. Camil has provided the full list for us below ( thanks Camil!).

Force News Update
If for some odd reason the news file(s) are not being updated, then this will
re-create the news file and force it to update properly (figure
a). Please make sure you have all your settings configured the way
you want them prior to forcing it to update.
