Edit SSI/Email Templates
We get a lot of people wanting to know how to edit the various templates for the board. Previous versions left it difficult for most people to locate the files necessary and make the necessary adjustments without a lot of work and effort. The newer versions of iB make this process much more simple and efficient. This area deals specifically with the SSI and Email templates for the board. Being there are several SSI and email files, they are divided into two categories, with all of those falling under either being listed in their specific category. To help simplify things further, templates have listed the tags that will work with them to help board admins to customize them without having to ask a lot of questions. To edit a template, first you will need to decide which category it fits under, either SSI or Email templates (figure a). You will also notice under each template the option to rename the text file created that holds the data for the SSI data.

New Board Template
Sometimes custom skins require custom templates, especially when doing major changes to the layout of the index page of a board. Sometimes we just need to add extra fields, add a background image, add an iFrame, or a hundred other possible reasons. When this is necessary, rather than altering the main board template, it is wiser to create a new one, more often than not. This feature allows you to do just that. It will start you off with the default template, and allow you to make whatever changes are necessary from there (figure a).
